Video of Lisa Hannigan appearing with Bob Weir and the Campfire Band has emerged and can be viewed below.

Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir brought together members of his band from last fall’s Campfire Tour in support of his Blue Mountain album on Thursday night to perform at the Aronoff Center in Cincinnati. The show came as part of the MusicNOW Festival put together by The National guitarist Bryce Dessner and included a surprise guest appearance from Lisa Hannigan.

Weir’s band for the evening saw him backed by Aaron Dessner, Bryan Devendorf and Scott Devendorf of The National along with multi-instrumentalist Jon Shaw and guitarist Josh Kaufman. While Steve Kimock took part in the Campfire Tour, he’s currently in Japan with K I M O C K. Bobby started out with a solo segment before welcoming his band for the rest of the first set, the second set and an encore.

The guitarist emerged on-stage to kick off his performance with three solo acoustic songs. Up first was a cover of Bob Dylan’s “When I Paint My Masterpiece” followed by the blues standard “Walkin’ Blues” and “Easy To Slip” by Little Feat. Weir and the Campfire Band then focused on songs from Blue Mountain in the first set such as “Only A River,” “Lay My Lily Down,” “Ghost Towns” and “Gonesville.” Irish singer-songwriter Lisa Hannigan emerged to add to “Lay My Lily Down” and “Ghost Towns.” Last night’s opening stanza also included a take on the Grateful Dead classic “Dark Star” as well as a version of Buddy Holly’s “Oh Boy.”

Bobby and his band began the second set with Kris Kristofferson’s “Me & Bobby McGee” and the traditional “Jack-A-Roe.” The group then ran through Grateful Dead fan favorites “Cassidy” and “Eyes Of The World.” Up next was a take on Bob Dylan’s “Most Of The Time.” It was then time for the end of “Dark Star,” which the group worked into “Not Fade Away.” Bobby returned to start the encore with “Ki-Yi Bossie” before the band helped him say farewell with “Peggy-O” and “Ripple.” Hannigan, who was on hand for her own performance at MusicNOW later in the weekend, emerged in the middle of the encore to sing “Peggy-O” and “Ripple” with Weir. The MusicNOW Festival continues today in Cincinnati.
