Bob Dylan continued to revisit material from The Basement Tapes sessions with The Band on Saturday at Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery in Woodinville, Washington. Dylan delivered “You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere” for the first time since 2012 at the concert near Seattle.

Bob Dylan launched his 2026 Summer Tour near Portland on Thursday, where he offered the live debut of “Baby, Won’t You Be My Baby,” a track that was officially released on The Bootleg Series, Vol. 11: The Basement Tapes RAW in 2014. Captured in 1967, there was nearly a 60 year span between recording and live premiere.

The show near Seattle on Saturday saw Bob returning to The Basement Tapes sessions once again with less of an obscurity but a rarity nonetheless. Written by Dylan in 1967, The Byrds included “You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere” on their excellent 1968, Gram Parsons-era country-rock album Sweetheart of the Rodeo. With its surrealist lyrics yet countrified feel, the song is a bridge between Dylan’s psychedelic and folk-rock eras of the late 1960s.

Dylan officially released “You Ain’t Goin Nowhere” in 1971 on Bob Dylan’s Greatest Hits Volume II and it has subsequently appeared on numerous collections. The legendary singer-songwriter kicked off the concert in Woodinville with “You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere.” Bob Dylan had last performed the song live on November 21, 2012 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

He also offered more nods to rock ‘n’ roll pioneers in Woodinville with a cover of the Jerry Lee Lewis-recorded “I’ll Make It All Up to You” and once again included “Baby, Won’t You Be My Baby,” alongside another The Band collaboration, “When I Paint My Masterpiece.” Additionally, Dylan classics “All Along The Watchtower” and “Rainy Day Women #12 & 35” remained on the setlist. The concert came to a close with “Crossing The Rubicon,” off his latest studio album, Rough and Rowdy Ways.
