The Jack Antonoff-led Bleachers announced a new self-titled album, due out on March 8 via Dirty Hit. The band also shared a new single, “Alma Mater,” featuring frequent Antonoff collaborator Lana Del Rey.
Antonoff and company previously shared the Bleachers single, “Modern Girl” — which they recently performed on Fallon — marking their first new original music since the 2021 LP, Take The Sadness Out Of Saturday Night. “Modern Girl” is the second track on the forthcoming record.

The fresh single, “Alma Mater,” is Bleachers’ fifth track and contains vocals from Lana Del Rey. Jack Antonoff is currently nominated for the Producer Of The Year, Non-Classical Grammy Award for his work on Del Rey’s 2023 album Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd among other records. Antonoff detailed “Alma Mater” in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1:
“Sometimes you want people to feel like something almost sounds unattainable, and sometimes you want people to feel like they’re just in a room with you. And so if I want it to feel like I’m just talking to someone or we’re in a room together, then I like to add things like random scratch takes or noises that remind you that you’re not in a heightened environment…A song like this, I want it to be like I’m sitting on your basement floor with you.”
