Blackberry Smoke Confirms Spirit Of The South Tour 2021
Blackberry Smoke will embark on the “Spirit of the South Tour: A Celebration of Southern Rock N’ Roll” this summer. The band will be joined by special guests The Allman Betts Band, The Wild Feathers and co-founding The Allman Brothers Band drummer Jaimoe for a series of dates spanning July 30 – August 27 as well as shows in September and October.
Initially, BBS planned to head out on the “Spirit of the South Tour” in 2020 before the pandemic led to a one-year delay. Each show on the tour will conclude with a collaborative finale paying tribute to various influences within Southern music. Additionally, The Allman Brothers Band Museum At The Big House will host a mobile set up at each venue featuring “never-before-seen archival items including original hand-written lyrics, family photographs, iconic clothing and jewelry, one-of-a-kind instruments played by the band and more.”
Blackberry Smoke, who will release their new album You Hear Georgia on May 28, kick off the tour with their guests at the Hartford Healthcare Amphitheatre in Bridgeport, Connecticut on July 30 and at CMAC in Canandaigua, New York on July 31. August stops follow in Ohio, Missouri, Texas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Georgia, New York, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
“Spirit of the South Tour” picks up in Indianapolis on September 23 ahead of stops in Sterling Heights (Michigan) on September 24 and Cleveland on September 25. An October 28th show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado closes out the tour.
Tickets for newly confirmed dates go up for grabs on Friday, May 21 at 10 a.m. local time.
