Southern rockers Blackberry Smoke continue to preview their upcoming new album You Hear Georgia by sharing the track “Ain’t The Same.” You Hear Georgia arrives through Thirty Tigers on May 28.
The 10-track LP comes as Blackberry Smoke celebrates their 20th anniversary. BBS recorded the follow-up to 2018’s Find A Light with producer and fellow Georgian Dave Cobb at Nashville’s historic RCA Studio A. Contributors include Jamey Johnson, The Black Bettys and Warren Haynes.

Blackberry Smoke previously released the title track as well as You Hear Georgia single “Hey Delilah” from their tribute to the band’s home state of Georgia. “Lyrically, the song is about the South being misunderstood. It’s obviously a rough and tumble world, and there’s a lot of bad people. But there’s a lot of good people too,” frontman Charlie Starr explained regarding “Ain’t The Same.”
“It started with the idea of how people might have a preconceived opinion of you because of a thick Southern accent, then expanded into the reality of how some people just seem to have such a hard time getting along, thanks to political or religious views, or simply what part of the country you come from,” Starr added.
