As reported, The Black Crowes were joined by Blackberry Smoke guitarist Charlie Starr on Sunday for their performance at the Stagecoach festival in Indio, California. Stagecoach organizers unveiled professionally-shot footage featuring “Twice As Hard” and “She Talks To Angels” from the Crowes’ set giving fans a chance to see Starr in action with the band.
Starr was filling in for Isaiah Mitchell while Mitchell tours Europe with Earthless. “Well, that was a windy good time at Stagecoach…thank you to the mighty @theblackcrowes for having me fill in for some shows,” Charlie wrote on Instagram. “It is absolutely an honor.”
The Black Crowes, apparently with Starr in the mix, will perform on tonight’s (Tuesday, May 3) episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live and then play a livestream concert from Los Angeles via Amazon Music’s Twitch channel tomorrow (Wednesday, May 4) at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT to celebrate their 1972 covers EP. Finally, The Black Crowes head to New Orleans for a set at Jazz Fest this Friday, May 6.
