Master musicians guitarist Billy Strings and mandolinist Chris Thile joined forces to perform on the latest episode of CBS Saturday Morning. The pair showed off their impressive talents on a “Saturday Sessions” set of three traditional songs.
The duo’s “Saturday Sessions” set aired two days after Chris Thile and Billy Strings shared the stage in New York City. Thile welcomed Strings and keyboardist Cory Henry to take part in the final installment of The 65th Street Session concert series at Wu Tsai Theater in David Geffen Hall on Thursday, February 1.

The virtuosic musicians worked through “Wild Bill Jones,” “I Am A Pilgrim” and “I’ve Been All Around This World” for their “Saturday Sessions” set. All three traditional tunes made the setlist at Wu Tsai Theater last Thursday. Strings and Thile gathered with their respective instruments around a single mic on CBS Saturday Morning.

Both artists will soon start their respective winter tours. Thile and Nickel Creek launch a three-week run on Tuesday, while Strings gets his year underway with three nights in Asheville February 16 – 18.
