Andrew Bird & Nickel Creek Will Go Up, Up & Away On Summer Tour 2024

Singer-songwriter Andrew Bird and Americana trio Nickel Creek will join forces for 13 co-headlining tour dates this summer. The Up, Up & Away tour hits the Pacific Northwest, Midwest and Southeast from July 5 – 20.

General on-sales begin this Friday, February 2 at 10 a.m. local time. The artists will donate $1 from each ticket sold to World Central Kitchen in support of the organization’s mission “of being first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises.”

“AHHH!!! We can’t even BEGIN to express our excitement to be back on the road with Andrew Bird! Our only other tour together was almost 20 years ago, and he’s been a HUGE source of inspiration to us ever since,” stated Nickel Creek’s Chris Thile. “Relentlessly creative, always searching for that next unexpected melody or couplet, and what a performer. We can’t WAIT to catch up with him and all of you this summer!”

Andrew Bird and Nickel Creek start their time on the road together in Oregon with concerts in Jacksonville on July 5 and Bend on July 6. The two acts then head to the Mountain States for shows in Boise (Idaho) on July 7, Missoula (Montana) on July 8 and Sandy (Utah) on July 10. Next up is a Midwest string consisting of stops in La Vista (Nebraska) on July 12, Minneapolis on July 13, Bayfield (Wisconsin) on July 14 and Interlochen (Michigan) on July 15.

The final stretch of the Up, Up & Away tour starts on July 17 in Charlottesville, Virginia. From there, Bird and Nickel Creek hit Asheville on July 18 and Atlanta on July 19 before closing the jaunt at Firefly Distillery in North Charleston, South Carolina on July 20.

Nickel Creek launches a winter tour in Iowa City on February 6, while Andrew Bird plays February shows in Mexico. See all tour dates for both artists by scrolling below.
