Phoebe Bridgers delayed a run of U.K. shows after being diagnosed with appendicitis. The singer-songwriter shared the unfortunate news via Instagram Stories on Wednesday, revealing that the diagnosis came around her 32nd birthday.

Bridgers turned 32 on August 17. She took to Instagram Stories to share a photo of herself in a hospital bed with an IV in her arm. “I got appendicitis for my birthday,” Bridgers wrote alongside the photo.

Bridgers played two shows at London’s Union Chapel on her 32nd birthday, in celebration of her new album Lost Weekend, but the diagnosis forced her to postpone the shows that were set to follow in Kingston, Brighton and Bristol. The Kingston dates were scheduled for the same day she shared the diagnosis, with Brighton to follow on August 20 and Bristol closing out the run on August 21.

While Bridgers did not provide additional details about her condition or announce rescheduled dates, the singer promised to make it up to fans who have tickets to the canceled performances. Banquet Records, which was set to host the Kingston shows, confirmed on X that the dates would need to move and said it was working closely with Bridgers’ team on next steps.

Fans awaiting the U.K. performances will have to wait for further word from Bridgers regarding new dates. “I’ll make it up to you,” she assured ticket holders in her Instagram Stories.

Next up for Bridgers is The Lost Tour 2026, an extensive arena run in support of Lost Weekend. The trek begins in Indianapolis on September 14 and continues with dates across North America and Europe through December 12 in Stockholm.
