Billy Joel Covers Prince, AC/DC & Elvis Presley In Las Vegas

By Scott Bernstein May 2, 2016 9:45 am PDT

Legendary performer Billy Joel took a break from his Madison Square Garden residency to fly out to Las Vegas for a Saturday night show at the T-Mobile Arena. Joel and his band became one of the latest acts to pay tribute to Prince as they worked a snippet of “1999” into their Sin City performance.

The Prince tribute was just one of many covers the Piano Man and his band played in Vegas on Saturday. Others included Elvis Presley’s “Suspicious Minds” and “Viva Las Vegas,” Bobby Darin’s “Mack The Knife” and “Highway To Hell” by AC/DC which featured Billy on guitar. Billy Joel let his band do most of the heavy lifting on the portion of “1999” they fit into “River Of Dreams” on Saturday.
