Big Thief Joins Newport Folk Festival 2020 Lineup

Newport Folk Festival 2020 will take place at Fort Adams State Park in Newport, Rhode Island July 31 – August 2. Organizers confirmed Big Thief as the first act on this year’s lineup.

Big Thief will perform on Friday, July 31. The band previously played Newport Folk Fest in 2017. They released a pair of acclaimed albums in 2019, U.F.O.F. and Big Hands. Newport Festivals Foundation made a donation to Daniel’s Music Foundation on behalf of Big Thief.

Additional acts on the Newport 2020 lineup will be revealed in the coming weeks. The long-running event is sold-out.
