Next month, the Benevento Russo Duo featuring drummer Joe Russo and keyboardist Marco Benevento will perform aboard Jam Cruise 15 in what was expected to be their first electric performance in years. Fans won’t have to wait until January for their first taste of The Duo since 2010 as Joe and Marco will play a “secret show” tonight in preparation for Jam Cruise.
The small clubs of New York City gave birth to the Benevento Russo Duo, so it makes sense the pair will hone their chops in front of a home town crowd. Word of the “secret show” came via an Instagram post from Marco:
While the pair haven’t confirmed where they will play, the location tagged on Marco’s post is Threes Brewing in Brooklyn. A listing on Three Brewing’s website has “LaDyade,” which appears to be a fictitious “Italian electro outfit,” set to play the venue between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. with no cover. Joe shared a link to the LaDyade listing on his Facebook page. The venue would also keep in line with a coded tweet Russo sent yesterday:
