Beastie Boys’ Mike D to Curate Festival in LA

TRANSMISSION SERIES HITS LOS ANGELES

None less than Mike D from the legendary Beastie Boys will be patron and creative head of the Transmission LA: AV Club festival, which is set to take place at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA in Los Angeles.

The music and entertainment icon invited 17 outstanding artists from multiple disciplines to create an exceptional 17 days event consisting of concerts, DJ nights, performances and installations. Says Mike D, “I’m thrilled that I was able to secure a group of outstanding artists and musicians, that I personally rate and admire enormously, to create together a unique artistic program that brings together painting, video, installation, music and design.”

To promote the festival, Mike D and Peanut Butter Wolf have created a mix featuring the music of Kraftwerk, Public Enemy, ESG, and more. Click here to download.
