AXS TV To Premiere All-Star ‘Volunteer Jam XX: A Tribute To Charlie Daniels’

AXS TV will premiere the all-star Volunteer Jam XX: A Tribute To Charlie Daniels concert special on Sunday, August 19 at 10 p.m. ET /9 p.m CT. In October, Blackbird Presents will release a two-CD set of select songs from the event held last March at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Charlie Daniels hosted the first Volunteer Jam in 1974. The 2018 edition marked the 20th staging of the event and featured The Charlie Daniels Band, Chuck Leavell, Billy F Gibbons, Blackberry Smoke, Ricky Skaggs, Devon Allman, Duane Betts, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Steep Canyon Rangers, Alabama, Sara Evans, Chris Young, Chris Janson, Eddie Montgomery, Justin Moore, Lee Brice, The Oak Ridge Boys and Travis Tritt. The show was executive produced by Ken Wortman and Don Was served as musical director.
