The Avett Brothers made their Ellen DeGeneres Show debut during Tuesday’s episode of the syndicated talk show. Seth Avett, Scott Avett and Bob Crawford played “Locked Up” from their 2019 studio album, Closer Than Together.

Seth, Scott and Bob’s stripped-down rendition of “Locked Up” was a return to their roots as an acoustic trio. Scott handled lead vocals and played a ukulele for the song while Seth provided harmonies and strummed guitar as Bob held down the bottom end on upright bass. The three musicians filmed their performance and sent it in to Ellen to abide by social distancing guidelines.
