Ann Coulter Discusses Love Of Grateful Dead With SiriusXM

Despite popular stereotypes, Grateful Dead fans come from all walks of life. While the “core four” famously reunited in 2008 to play a benefit for Democratic Presidential candidate and eventual winner Barack Obama, the band also appeals to some Republicans including controversial conservative pundit Ann Coulter. Coulter discussed her love of the Grateful Dead during an appearance on the SiriusXM Insight special, Sit Down With Alfred and Chris.

Coulter, who was in the middle of bragging about her tape collection, described possessing a copy of Mickey Hart’s “cool” rap-version of “Fire On The Mountain” (which everyone can stream here) while noting how many copies of “Sugar Magnolia” she owns and the fact she edited out portions of the shows she didn’t like from her collection. “‘Loose Lucy’ was one that I particularly liked … ‘Althea’ … they’re almost all Jerry songs,” Coulter said when asked about her favorite Grateful Dead song.
