Animal Collective Shares ‘Jimmy Mack’ Cover

Tomorrow, Animal Collective will issue The Painters EP via Domino. One of the four songs on the EP is a cover of “Jimmy Mack,” which they’ve made available ahead of Friday’s official release.

The companion to their 2016 album Painting With, the EP also features the previously shared single “Kinda Bonkers,” as well as the tracks “Peacemaker” and “Goalkeeper.” The EP’s final track is a studio recording of a cover of the Martha & The Vandellas 1967 hit “Jimmy Mack,” which Animal Collective recently added to the live setlists.

Brian DeGraw once again provided artwork for The Painters EP. DeGraw also provided portraits for Painting With. Stream Animal Collective’s cover of “Jimmy Mack” followed by the official lyric video for “Kinda Bonkers” below:
