Amy Helm Previews New Album ‘Silver City’ With Stirring ‘Baby Come Back’ Single

Amy Helm released a new single, “Baby Come Back.” The track is set to land on the singer-songwriter’s forthcoming album, Silver City, due out on September 6 as her first LP on Sun Records.

Amy recorded Silver City at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, New York. Renowned musician and producer Josh Kaufman handled production on the record.

“Silver City began as a series of intimate letters-in-song, inspired by deeply personal experiences and evolved into a tribute to women’s voices,” press materials for the album noted.

“I wanted to dig into the inherited narrative of women’s voices — whispering, singing, shouting their stories,” Helm stated. “These songs are conversations that travel through time, celebrating womanhood in all its complexities.”

Amy previously shared the Silver City cut, “Money On 7,” and now follows with the soul-kissed single, “Baby Come Back.”

“It’s what you want to say to anybody you love who’s drifting,” Amy said of the new track.
