Amanda Shires Shares New Single ‘Leave It Alone’

Texas-bred singer-songwriter Amanda Shires will release her fifth studio album, To The Sunset via Silver Knife/Thirty Tigers on August 3. Today, American Songwriter has premiered audio of the LP’s lead single, “Leave It Alone.”

Dave Cobb was behind the board for the 10-track To The Sunset. Shires recorded the follow-up to 2016’s My Piece Of Land, which was also produced by Cobb, at Nashville’s historic RCA Studio A. Amanda’s band for the album features Cobb on bass, her husband Jason Isbell on guitar, Peter Levin on keys and drummer Jerry Pentecost. “Love is a complicated and many-faced beast. Let it do us all in. It’s worth it,” Shires told American Songwriter about “Leave It Alone.”
