In 2014 the Allman Brothers Band will celebrate their 45th anniversary. In an interview with Rolling Stone announcing the run, founding member Gregg Allman revealed big news for the band.

Gregg has told Rolling Stone that bassist Oteil Burbridge has left the Allman Brothers Band. “Oteil’s not with us anymore,” Allman stated about the bassist. “I don’t know if he’ll be back to the Beacon or not. He’s gone with Zac Brown.” Burbridge was featured on the Zac Brown Band’s recently released The Grohl Sessions Vol. 1 produced by Dave Grohl. There’s no word yet on Burbridge’s replacement.
The Allmans’ Beacon run is currently slated to span 10 performances starting on March 7 and running through March 22. The dates are March 7, 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 18, 19, 21 and 22. Tickets are set to go on sale January 10 at 10 a.m. ET.
