AC/DC guitarist Stevie Young was recently hospitalized in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The 69-year-old, who joined AC/DC’s lineup in 2014, is not expected to miss any shows on the band’s current Power Up Tour of South America.

Stevie Young, who is the nephew of the late co-founding AC/DC guitarist Malcolm Young, performed at the group’s most recent concert, held on Sunday, March 15 in Santiago, Chile.

The band – which includes co-founding guitarist Angus Young and longtime vocalist Brian Johnson, as well as Chris Chaney on bass and Matt Laug on drums – is expected to kick off a three-show run at Estadio River Plate in Buenos Aires starting on Monday, March 23.

“Out of an abundance of caution, he [Stevie Young] was admitted to a local hospital where he is undergoing a full battery of tests,” a spokesperson told Reuters. “Stevie is doing well and is in good spirits. He is looking forward to getting on stage on Monday.”

The band’s representative did not provide details of what caused Young to seek medical treatment. After the shows in Buenos Aires, AC/DC then heads to Mexico for three early-April concerts in Mexico City. Additional North American Power Up Tour dates follow beginning in July.
