This week’s edition of Saturday Stream, like last week, presents a Spotify Playlist of music that was issued in 2017. Today’s collection is entirely made up of live albums and other archival recordings that surfaced over the course of the last year — some of which were also featured last week.

There were many standout live releases this year from legendary acts such as The Allman Brothers Band, Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, The Doors, Jeff Beck, The Rolling Stones, David Gilmour, Paul Simon, Steve Winwood, Frank Zappa, Black Sabbath, The Who and others. The year also saw archival releases from Phish, Jerry Garcia Band, the Disco Biscuits, Wilco, R.E.M., Chris Robinson Brotherhood, The White Stripes, U2, Doc & Merle Watson and more.

Recently recorded live albums were put out in 2017 by the likes of Pearl Jam, Tedeschi Trucks Band, The Wood Brothers, Hard Working Americans, Yonder Mountain String Band, King Crimson, Gary Clark Jr., Marco Benevento, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Aqueous, Dopapod, Lettuce, The Werks, Spafford, Sufjan Stevens and several others. There are a few tracks that were added as bonus tracks to studio releases
