Jam titans Widespread Panic will begin an extensive fall tour tomorrow at the North Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, SC; but one familiar face won’t be on hand. Widespread Panic has just announced that drummer Todd Nance will miss the tour and that Duane Trucks will join them temporarily.

The full text of the surprising announcement reads, “Widespread Panic is grateful to have Duane Trucks joining the Band for this Year’s Fall tour. He will be temporarily filling in for Todd Nance, who is taking time to attend to personal matters.” Duane Trucks is one of Widespread Panic bassist Dave Schools’ band mates in Hard Working Americans.

Our thoughts are with Todd and we hope he’ll be able to rejoin the band sooner rather than later.
