By Scott Bernstein Mar 15, 2014 • 7:00 am PDT

If there’s one living musician who could be called the patriarch of our scene, it’s none other than Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh. Today Phil turns 74 and he’s still going strong. Tonight, he’ll celebrate the occasion with a show at his Terrapin Crossroads and we’d like to celebrate Lesh’s long and illustrious career by sharing a playlist of The Top 10 Phil Tunes.

Check out our compilation of Phil Lesh’s greatest contributions to the Grateful Dead catalog via our Spotify and RDIO channels. We cover Phil’s written compositions and the tracks where he takes lead vocals including one hell of a Bob Dylan cover that was a popular choice when the band mates wanted to “Let Phil Sing.”
