The Shady Horns Sam Kininger and Ryan Zoidis aka 'The Shady Horns' bring the rage as the original and current horn section of Lettuce. In addition to Lettuce, both have been consistently tapped to tour with Soulive throughout the years and appear on numerous Soulive releases including Next, Break Out, and Soulive's soon to be released Up Here. Sam and Ryan stay active outside the Lettuce/Soulive arena - Kininger leads his own Sam Kininger Band, featuring Amy Bowles (keys), Aaron Bellamy (bass) and Nikki Glaspie (drums), as well as an assortment of other rotating musicians. The follow up to his self-titled debut, 'Anthem' was recently released in Japan in 2008. Hailing from Portland, ME, Zoidis is a member of hometown heroes The Rustic Overtones who toured extensively throughout the 90s and recently reunited, dropping Viva Nueva in July 2008, featuring David Bowie.
