RAILROAD REVIVAL TOUR ANNOUNCES
RETURN TO NEW ORLEANS OCTOBER 21
The 2012 Railroad Revival Tour announced today plans to return to New Orleans, LA on October 21, completing the tour featuring Willie Nelson & Family, Band of Horses, Jamey Johnson, and John Reilly & Friends across the American southwest this fall. Tickets are on sale now for all tour dates, including New Orleans. A limited number of on-the-train ride along packages available for the general public go on sale next week.
The newly added concert will be held on the banks of the Mississippi River at New Orleans' Woldenberg Park under the fall sky, next to the French Quarter. Louisiana's rich and musical rail history makes it a perfect location for a stop on the tour. The railroads serving New Orleans have been a primary contributing factor to its development and growth. The city's prime location on the Gulf Coast as the gateway to the Mississippi Valley has made it the terminus for seven great railway systems, as well as the second port of the nation.
Early bird general admission tickets are available for New Orleans and all shows on the tour for $55, which includes a Railroad Revival Tour laminated ticket and an immediate download of a four-song tour sampler that includes a song from each touring artist. Children seven and under get in free with a ticketed adult to all shows. Also, guests are permitted to bring a folding chair to the performances.
Special to the New Orleans show is the Riverboat Revival First Class Package, also on sale now. Among other conveniences and perks, the package features a Mississippi River Lunch & Jazz Cruise on board the Steamboat Natchez.
