TAKING IT TO THE ASPHALT

Hackensaw Boys
Welcome back to our tiny musical salute to workin’ stiffs and those merely stiff for other reasons. On the labor side of the hump this week we have the Hackensaw Boys earning low pay but feeling alright about it in “Parking Lot Song.” And on the more amorous side o’ the hump we have a double shot of car themed metaphors in Queen‘s “I’m In Love With My Car” (yes, other people besides Freddie sang lead sometimes) and the Honeymoon Killers‘ distorto take on Zep’s “Trampled Under Foot.” Here’s to making it to the weekend!
