Treasure Island Music Festival 2008 Schedule Announced

The Treasure Island Music Festival returns for 2008 on September 20 and 21, 2008. This two-day outdoor festival highlights electronic and dance oriented acts on Saturday Sept 20 while Sunday Sept 21 features a one-of-a-kind lineup of highly regarded emerging and established indie bands. The two-day celebration promises a stellar and diverse lineup, a 60 foot ferris, games, art and more all smack-dab in the middle of the San Francisco Bay on historic Treasure Island. We are pleased to announce the schedule for each day of the 2008 Treasure Island Music Festival. Performances will alternate on one of two stages meaning that each festivalgoer can see the whole set by every band on both days.

This looks like it would be a lot of fun and there are plenty of good bands to see, but those ticket prices seem a bit high. Maybe it's because I just paid rent, but I'd stick to both of the night shows at the Independent.

If you're going to this, MAKE SURE YOU SEE TILLY & THE WALL. They are the closest thing right now to the true hippy spirit. Their concerts are all about dancing, singing, dancing with the band, making noise, and having fun as a big happy family. It's an experience not to be missed.
