Malkmus And The Jicks Mix Beck And Pavement In Chicago

As per Scents & Subtle Sounds, the band’s set mixed material from the new album with tunes from previous efforts. Malkmus even shouted out Chicago hometown heroes Wilco by dedicating “Jennifer and the Ess-Dog” to them.
For the finale, Malkmus and his band played a medley of Beck’s “Golden Age” and “Debra” that included a few verses of Pavement’s “Gold Soundz.” The group seemed to be having fun with the goofy and loose medley. Check out Scents & Subtle Sounds’s video of the medley if only for the audio:
