Jimmy Herring Guests With moe. In Charlotte

The Ringers were set to open for moe. on Wednesday night in Charleston, SC when "inclement weather and road conditions in the Southeast" led the supergroup to cancel. Thankfully the situation cleared up enough for the moe./Ringers show in Charlotte to take place as planned last night. We were hoping the pairing of the acts would lead to a Jimmy Herring sit-in with moe. and that's exactly what happened.

Herring emerged at the end of moe.'s first set for a take on "Four." Jimmy's sit in came after an interesting "Tubing The River Styx" > "The Pit" > "Understand" > "Brittle End," "Rise" > "Tubing The River Styx" > "The Pit" sequence as moe. continues to toy with their repertoire. The second set started off with the rare and fan-favorite "Dr. Graffenberg" > "Havah Negilah" > "Long Island Girls Rule" suite, all three of which appear on their 1992 debut Fatboy. After that it was heavy hitter time as "McBain," "Runaway Overlude" and "Recreational Chemistry" brought the second set to a close. For the encore, moe. offered their cover of Rush's "Tom Sawyer" and original "All Roads Lead To Home." moe. and The Ringers will pair up again a week from today as part of the Wetlands 25th Anniversary Gala.

Watch Jimmy sit in with moe. on "Four" last night thanks to Josh Daniel:
