Spotify Lands Led Zeppelin For Exclusive Streaming

Led Zeppelin have been one of those acts whose music isn’t available for streaming on any of the big subscription services. According to the New York Times that will change today when Spotify announces a deal to bring the legendary British band’s catalog exclusively to its service.

The news is expected to be announced at a press conference in NYC that has just started as of press time. You can watch the press conference here:

Spotify is also expected to reveal that it will make a limited amount of music available for free on mobile devices as it gears up for competition from new YouTube and Beats services.

UPDATE: It’s official! Led Zeppelin is now on Spotify. The service will release two albums per day this week starting with Led Zeppelin and Led Zeppelin II today and running through Sunday at which points the entire catalog will be available.
