Cover Alert | Blues Traveler And Strangefolk Tackle Stills

Over the past two nights jam stalwarts Blues Traveler and Strangefolk paired up to play the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY. Last night, during Traveler’s set, Strangfolk guitarists Reid Genauer and Jon Trafton sat in on a cover of Stephen Stills’s 1970 hit “Love The One You’re With.”

Strangefolk kicked off the festivities each night with a lengthy set before Blues Traveler brought the shows to a close with a set of their own. The Vermonters played a bonus set at Garcia’s on Saturday that saw John Popper guest. When Traveler welcomed the Strangefolk guitarists to the stage for “Love The One You’re With,” Popper mentioned Genauer was the only one on stage that was familiar with the song. However, the ensemble pulled off a spot-on rendition of the tune.
