About Brian Fallon
Best known as the lead singer of The Gaslight Anthem, Brian Fallon was born in 1980 and grew up in Hackettstown and Red Bank, New Jersey. Before fronting the band that brought him international recognition in 2006, Fallon performed solo and as a member of Cincinnati Rail Tie and This Charming Man, which later evolved into The Gaslight Anthem.
The Gaslight Anthem reached global mainstream success with their second album, The ’59 Sound, in 2008, headlining larger and larger venues. In 2009 they were joined on stage twice by Bruce Springsteen, a huge influence of Fallon’s to whom he is often compared.
While fronting the Gaslight Anthem, Fallon also embarked on two solo projects: The Horrible Crowes with the band’s guitar tech and de facto fifth member, Ian Perkins, and Molly and the Zombies with Brian McGee of Plow United.
Behind the scenes, Fallon was struggling. Much of the 2014 album Get Hurt references his divorce from his first wife Hollie, the sister of Gaslight bassist Alex Levine. The following year, the band announced an ”indefinite hiatus” after the Reading Festival in August.
As a solo artist, Fallon has recorded and toured two albums, Painkillers and Sleepwalkers.
