ZZ Top & Blackberry Smoke Announce Tour

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members ZZ Top have announced a tour with special guests Blackberry Smoke for the Grooves & Gravy Tour. The extensive run of shows begins in mid-August and crosses much of North America before wrapping up in early October.
“We’re looking forward to getting out there with the Blackberry Smoke guys,” said ZZ Top guitarist/vocalist Billy F. Gibbons. “Grooves & Gravy promises to be one of the rowdiest outings of the year so come on out and get crazy with us.”
Grooves & Gravy kicks off on August 12 at Musikfest in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and continues on the East Coast throughout the month, eventually heading west and south. On September 5 Grooves & Gravy stops at The Fayette County Fair in La Grange, Texas, the source of ZZ Top’s song “La Grange” and the first time the band will perform at the namesake locale . The rest of September includes several California dates as well as a stop at the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival in Telluride, Colorado on September 18. September 25 at Lancaster, North Dakota’s Pinewood Bowl Amphitheater is the last concert to feature both bands, but ZZ Top will continue with a handful of solo shows into the first week of October.
