Yonder Mountain String Band To Go Electric For Pink Floyd ‘Animals’ Set

The 2016 Northwest String Summit music festival will take place July 14 – 17 at Horning’s Hideout in North Plains, Oregon. Today, festival hosts Yonder Mountain String Band revealed they will go electric to cover an iconic Pink Floyd album in its entirety at Northwest String Summit ’16.
Yonder’s electrified set featuring each and every song from the 1977 Pink Floyd album Animals will go down Saturday, July 16. An announcement of the set mentioned, “You can expect a Yonder-fied depiction of this classic Floyd album, accompanied by visual elements that will make this the most unique Yonder set in String Summit history.” The band also revealed they will be joined by special guests Gregg Androulis (Wayword Son’s/Tashi Station) on keyboards and Jay Elliot (Wicked Messenger) on drums.
Tickets for Northwest String Summit are on sale now via the festival’s website. Greensky Bluegrass, Railroad Earth, Leftover Salmon, The Infamous Stringdusters featuring Nicki Bluhm, Keller Williams With More Than A Little, Keller Williams’ Grateful Gospel, Steep Canyon Rangers and MarchFourth! are just a few of the acts set to join Yonder at this year’s Northwest String Summit.
