Yola Performs ‘Stand For Myself’ On ‘Colbert’

Yola performed “Stand For Myself” on last night’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The song is the title track to the singer-songwriter’s new album set for release by Easy Eye Sound on July 30.
Yola’s appearance was recorded at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City. She was joined the program’s bandleader Jon Batiste on piano, along with guitarist Andy Stack, keyboardist Ray Jacildo, drummer Aaron Fraser and Durand Jones & The Indications bassist Mike Montgomery.
Tomorrow evening (Thursday, July 22), Yola will co-headline Orville Peck’s Rodeo at Red Rocks outside Denver. Watch her perform the title track from her Dan Auerbach produced sophomore album Stand For Myself on the Late Show below:
