Guitarist William Tyler will appear at JamBase’s As Summer Into Autumn Slips event taking place this weekend – Friday, October 7 and Saturday, October 8 – at Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, Massachusetts. Each night will begin with a solo set performed by the skillful guitarist, followed by Marco Benevento Trio and Club d’Elf on Friday and Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey and WOLF! featuring Scott Metzger rounding out Saturday’s lineup.

Friday will see a reunited lineup of keyboardist Marco Benevento, bassist Reed Mathis and drummer Andrew Barr appearing together as the Marco Benevento Trio for the first time since 2011. As previously reported, Barr’s band The Slip was originally on the event’s lineup but had to back out.

Barr’s The Slip bandmate, bassist Marc Friedman, will join Jacob Jazz Fred Jazz Odyssey and play The Slip songs during their set on Saturday. The JFJO show will be the first East Coast performance in over 15 years by the lineup of Mathis, keyboardist Brian Haas and drummer Jason Smart.

Those exciting reunions, along with Club d’Elf and WOLF!, will no doubt lead to memorable nights of live music, with each kicking off with the captivating sounds of William Tyler and his expert guitar playing. Held on June 17 at The Greene Space, Tyler’s set was the finale of the four-day event. Over the course of his five-song set, the guitarist provided a career-spanning survey of his catalog of releases, performing solo acoustic takes on selections from five different albums.

Tyler first offered “Waltz Of The Circassian Beauties” from 2015’s Desert Canyon. “Missionary Ridge” off 2010’s Behold Truth came next, followed by “Gone Clear” which appeared on 2016 Modern Country. He then chose “Not In Our Stars” from his 2019 album, Goes West and concluded the set with “We Can’t Go Home Again,” recorded for the 2013 LP, Impossible Truth.

Tickets to the two-day As Summer Into Autumn Slips event are on sale now with two-day passes available for $50 and single-day tickets available for $30.
