By Scott Bernstein Jan 31, 2018 1:02 pm PST

While Wilco is currently on a touring hiatus so band members can focus on solo projects, the band has a few projects in the works this year. One such project is WilcoWorld Radio, which will launch on Friday, February 2 at 10 a.m. CT via Wilcoworld.net.

Look for the new internet radio station to broadcast over ten hours of original programming including interviews with frontman Jeff Tweedy and the other co-founding member of Wilco still with the group, bassist John Stirratt. In addition, WilcoWorld Radio will feature guest segments hosted by acclaimed journalist David Fricke longtime supporter DJ Robert Chase, Omnivore Recordings’ Cheryl Pawelski (producer of the recently released deluxe reissues of the band’s first two studio albums as well as other releases) and drummer Spencer Tweedy.

Here’s more on what to expect:

Celebrity bumpers and a set of jingles produced by Loft studio manager Mark Greenberg – featuring voice-over work by producer/engineer Dave O’Donnell (Keith Richards, Lyle Lovett, Eric Clapton) and vocals by Scott Ligon and Casey McDonough from the Chicago band The Flat Five – round out the broadcast, which also includes music from the reissues, live sets from the era of the celebrated albums’ original 1990s release and a one-hour set of cover songs performed by Wilco.

Streaming begins Friday at 10 a.m. CT and will rebroadcast on the 10 o’clock hour (Central Time) throughout Sunday, February 4.
