Last night, Widespread Panic wrapped up their Winter Tour with a show in Savannah in their home state of Georgia. The band delivered a lengthy two-set performance, once again digging deep for a bust out while also offering many longtime fan favorites.

Panic got things going at Savannah Civic Center with the instrumental “A Of D” opening the first set. Later they played just their second rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “First We Take Manhattan” which was debuted on New Year’s Eve, ending the first half with their original “Blackout Blues.”

Starting off set two – which along with the encore clocked in at nearly two-hours long – WSP covered Bob Dylan’s “A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall” which was also making its second performance since debuting on NYE. The rest of the monster second set was anchored by multi-song-sandwiching of “Driving Song” > “Tie Your Shoes” > “Low Spark Of High-Heeled Boys” > “Arlene” > “Papa’s Home” > “Drums” > “Papa’s Home” > “Red Hot Mama” > “Low Spark Of High-Heeled Boys” > “Driving Song.” A bust out of Carl Perkins & NRBQ’s “Flat Foot Flewzy” for the first time since October 26, 2013 (171 shows ago) drew the second half to a close.

Bassist Dave Schools thanked the band’s crew and staff before the start of the three song encore that began with Warren Zevon’s “Lawyers, Guns & Money” followed by the Panic original “Porch Song” and Johnny Nash’s classic “I Can See Clearly Now.”
