Widespread Panic Reschedules 1st Boston Concerts In Over A Decade For August 2025

Widespread Panic were set to return to Boston last August for their first performances in the city since 2015 when guitarist Jimmy Herring was diagnosed with stage 1 tonsil cancer. While the 2024 Boston shows were canceled, the band just revealed they are headed back to Beantown August 21 – 23, 2025 for a three-night stand at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway.

The veteran jam sextet announced Herring’s diagnosis on July 21, 2024. Panic called off the Boston shows a week later. Jimmy Herring underwent treatment and Widespread Panic made their triumphant return to stage on Valentine's Day in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The legendary band continues to add shows to their 2025 touring schedule with the new dates in Boston the latest to be confirmed. Widespread Panic’s last performance in Boston came on June 17, 2015 at the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion.

Tickets for the newly announced dates go on sale this Friday, April 18 at 10 a.m. ET.
