Widespread Panic Announces August 2026 Run In Atlantic City

Widespread Panic confirmed a three-night stand in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The legendary band will return to Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena August 14 – 16.

Etess Arena previously hosted WSP over Valentine's Day Weekend 2025. The shows marked the sextet’s first performances since June 2024, during which time guitarist Jimmy Herring underwent treatment for tonsil cancer.

Jimmy Herring has been sidelined again since New Year’s Eve while he undergoes further cancer treatment. Widespread Panic has been touring with Nick Johnson standing in for Herring.

Bassist Dave Schools addressed Herring’s absence in a recent interview with Live For Live Music. “I am very hopeful for Jimmy’s healthy return at some point this summer,” Schools said. “The way it felt when he came back in Atlantic City last year—the outpouring of love—it embarrassed him, which is great. Anything that embarrasses Jimmy is okay in my book.”

Hopefully Jimmy Herring will be embarrassed once again in Atlantic City, if he’s able to rejoin the band in time for the August 2026 run. The Jersey Shore performances come after Panic plays Jazz Fest, Las Vegas, Red Rocks, Montana and embarks on their first most extensive tour in a decade.

Tickets for all three Widespread Panic shows in Atlantic City go on sale this Friday, April 24 at 10 a.m. ET.
