Widespread Panic To Perform 333 Feet Underground

Jam titans Widespread Panic have played hundreds of venues in all sorts of locations over the past three decades, but on March 10 they will play a room unlike any they’ve performed at before. On March 10 the band will play an acoustic show 333-feet underground within the magnificent Volcano Room of Cumberland Caverns near McMinnville, TN that will be taped for PBS’s Bluegrass Underground series. The performance will air nationally on PBS in the fall of 2014.

Tickets are set to go on sale at 10 a.m. CST, Friday, February 7 at a cost of $75 a pop. The pricey ducats can be purchased exclusively at BluegrassUnderground.com. All tickets are general admission floor tickets and the show is ticketless entry.

“We are thrilled to welcome Widespread Panic to the cave as part of the 2014 Wood Tour. The cave, the band, patrons at the show and television audiences across the country are all in for a good time, underground!” says the show’s creator/executive producer, Todd Mayo in a statement announcing the show.
