Widespread Panic Announces September Dates & New Year’s Run

While members of Widespread Panic recently discussed the band’s intention to stop touring extensively after 2016, the Georgia rockers are still planning on hitting it hard this year. Today, the band has announced a 13-date September Tour as well as a New Year’s run in Nashville.

Widespread Panic kicks off the tour with a two-night stand at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C. September 6 – 7. From there, the band will play the new Amphitheater at Coney Island in Brooklyn September 9 – 10. The group will then visit Philadelphia on September 11 and Baltimore on September 13 before heading south. Southern stops include Tuscaloosa (September 15), Alpharetta (September 16) and Asheville (September 17) before the band ends the tour in Florida with two nights in Pensacola September 20 – 21 and two nights in St. Augustine September 23 – 24. October dates will be announced soon.

The band has also revealed this year’s New Year’s run which consists of three shows in Nashville. Up first is a single performance at the Ryman Auditorium for their annual Tunes For Tots benefit on December 29 followed by two nights at the larger Bridgestone Arena December 30 – 31.
