Ween concluded their three-night run at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York on Sunday. The band made good on an audience request to play “Suckin’ Blood From The Devil’s Dick” during The Cap closer.
Ween — guitarists Dean Ween (Mickey Melchiondo) and Gene Ween (Aaron Freeman), drummer Claude Coleman Jr., bassist Dave Dreiwitz and keyboardist Glenn McClelland — kicked of the show with La Cucaracha opening instrumental “Fiesta.” Staples “Captain Fantasy,” “The Grobe,” “I Can’t Put My Finger on It,” “Bananas and Blow,” and “Roses Are Free” followed. Deaner then led the band through “Sorry Charlie” Gener adding harmonies
.“Push th’ Little Daisies,” “Learnin’ to Love” and “How High Can You Fly?” came next ahead of the first “Suckin’ Blood From The Devil’s Dick” since June 3, 1995 for a total gap of 695 shows, as per Brownbase. The song appeared on Craters Of The Sac, a semi-official online release that arrived in 1999. But “Devil’s Dick” dates back to the “Pandy Fackler” tape of the late 1980s. After “How High Can You Fly” the crowd started to chant “devil’s dick.” “Fuck it, I’ll try it,” Deaner said before launching into the raunchy rocker.

The band continued with “Big Jilm,” “The Argus,” “Don’t Get 2 Close (2 My Fantasy)” ahead of the thrashy Pod cut “Sketches Of Winkle.” The stellar White Pepper track “Even If You Don’t” followed ahead of “Springtheme” and the cosmic “Did You See Me?” ahead of “I Play It Off Legit,” a song that appears on Ween’s 1992 album Pure Guava but not debuted live until 2016. The quintet then ran through “The Goin’ Gets Tough From the Getgo,” “Stroker Ace,” “Puerto Rican Power,” and “Seconds.” A sweaty pairing of “Don’t Sweat It” and “Demon Sweat” came next.
Gener then shouldered his acoustic guitar for favorites “Tried And True,” “What Deaner Was Talking About” and the gorgeous song “Stay Forever.” “Ode to Rene” and “Homo Rainbow” followed before Deaner led the way on “The Blarney Stone.” Gener then belted “If You Could Save Yourself (You’d Save Us All)” to close out the main set. Gener kept his vocals hot for “You Fucked Up” to kick off the encore before Ween delivered “Pooship Destroyer” to put an exclamation point on their Cap run.
