Watkins Family Hour Tapes NPR Tiny Desk Concert

Nickel Creek’s Sara and Sean Watkins’ project Watkins Family Hour issued their self-titled debut LP in July through their Family Hour Records label. The collective formed of regulars who perform at the Los Angeles club Largo, including Fiona Apple, recently taped several songs from the record for NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series.

The group’s debut album was developed from monthly sessions held at Largo and is made up of cover songs performed by the Watkins siblings, Apple, Don Heffington, Sebastian Steinberg, Benmont Tench and others.
