Warren Haynes Welcomes Ron Holloway In Washington D.C.

Warren Haynes brought the Ashes & Dust Band featuring Jeff Sipe and ChessBoxer to the Warner Theatre in Washington D.C. last night. The group welcomed a long-time Warren collaborator out for a Little Feat cover as the evening’s lone encore.

The ensemble kicked off the show with a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Tough Mama” and later worked Bob’s “All Along The Watchtower” into a jam based on “Scenes From A Troubled Mind.” Another highlight was the emergence of an instrumental version of “Machine Gun” within “Instrumental Illness.” The evening ended with saxophonist Ron Holloway coming out to add to the group’s take on “Skin It Back” by Little Feat.
