Warren Haynes, Grace Potter and The Decemberists‘ Colin Meloy were among the artists who participated in Angel From Maywood: A Livestream Tribute To John Prine presented by Consequence of Sound on Saturday. The seven-hour special also featured performances from Norah Jones, The Head And The Heart, John Darnielle of The Mountain Goats, Kevin Morby, Sara and Sean Watkins of Watkins Family Hour, Lake Street Dive, The Lone Bellow’s Zach Williams, Marcus King, Valerie June, Vincent Neil Emerson, Erin Rae and more.
Angel From Maywood came just four days after John Prine died at a hospital in Nashville due to complications from COVID-19. Consequence of Sound has shared select performances from the tribute on its Instagram channel.
