Voodoo Dead Among 2017 Nolafunk Series During Jazz Fest Additions

Promoters Nolafunk have announced additions to the lineup for the 6th Annual Nolafunk Series During Jazz Festival. The return of Voodoo Dead as well as a pair of other acts have been added to the 2017 slate of performances coinciding with the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

Voodoo Dead features Steve Kimock, Jackie Greene, George Porter Jr., Jeff Chimenti and John Kimock, with special guests expected to be perform with the ensemble. They’ll perform at Republic NOLA on May 6 and 7. Also added to the Nolfunk Series lineup was The Record Company who will appear with North Mississippi Allstars and Anders Osborne presenting N.M.O. at Republic NOLA on April 28. Vocalist Morgan James and special guests were also added to the Nolafunk series with a show taking place April 30 at Le Petit Theatre.

The series kicks off with a moe. performance at Le Petit on April 27. Dead Feat will play Republic NOLA on April 29 and April 30 featuring a lineup of Osborne, Greene, Paul Barrere, Fred Tackett, Brady Blade and others. Midnight North will open on the 29th, while Leftover Salmon side project Sockeye kick off the action on the 30th. In addition, Twiddle will play a late night show at Republic NOLA on Saturday, April 29.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, December 16 at 12 p.m. ET.
