Vocalist Tova Stolow Covers ‘Soulshine’ On French-Canadian Version Of ‘The Voice’

NBC reality-competition series The Voice features talented, unsigned vocalists performing “blind auditions” for the show’s judges in order to score a spot on one of the judges’ teams. There are dozens of international versions of The Voice including the Francophone Canadian version, La Voix, which airs on TVA. A recent episode of La Voix saw one of the contestants sing an Allman Brothers Band classic.
“Soulshine” was written by Warren Haynes for inclusion on The Allman Brothers Band’s 1994 album, Where It All Begins. The song was a live staple for the Allmans and for all of Warren’s projects including Gov’t Mule. 27-year-old vocalist Tova Stolow selected “Soulshine” for her “blind audition” on a recent episode of La Voix. Stolow’s version was so good all four judges tried to select Tova for their teams. Watch how it went down:
