Videos: Jim James Brings Solo Tour To The Tabernacle

By Scott Bernstein Nov 23, 2016 10:01 am PST

On Tuesday night My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James continued a solo tour in support of the recently released Eternally Even at The Tabernacle in Atlanta. James and his band, which features Twin Limb, played seven songs off Eternally Even. They also filled the set with five tunes off 2013’s Regions Of Light And Sound Of God. Additionally, Jim and the band treated concertgoers to “Dear God (Sincerely M.O.F.)” from James’ time with Monsters Of Folk and “Down On The Bottom” from The New Basement Tapes.

A highlight came in the middle of the set when the group performed a cover of The Velvet Underground’s “I’m Set Free.” Jim James talked about how we all need to show each other as much love as possible now more than ever. He also noted how much energy “Hotlanta” crowds bring every time he performs in the city.
